This past Sunday afternoon, we gathered for lunch, enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon, and celebrated with several people who were baptized or gave a public profession of faith. Below are some pictures -- we hope you'll join us next time!
It was a great evening on Sunday as we prayed for Bob & Sue Kummer and commissioned them before sending them to Italy this week, then celebrated with strawberries and ice cream on the lawn. If you missed this time of food and fun, be sure to join us on June 7 for our church picnic and baptism service!
Every spring, and every autumn, CEFC sets aside an entire week for us as a church body to concentrate on praying. For our church, for our ministries and outreaches, for our community, for our nation and our world. Prayer meetings are held each night at various homes in the area, and we enjoy the privilege of speaking to our King and Father.
Have you heard of these prayer meetings and wonder what they're all about? Join us next time... the Spring 2015 Week of Prayer just wrapped up, but we'll be doing it again this November.
On Friday, December 5, 63 children in grades K-6, gathered together for our Children's Christmas Party, "Walking With the Wise Men," where they enjoyed "Go Fish Guys" music videos, created star ornaments, ate star shaped sugar cookies (both craft & snack to represent the star that the wise men followed), played games, and heard the wise men share about their journey to find the newborn King. Praise God for the glorious good news of Christmas, and the many volunteers whose offering of time and talent helped to make the evening a success. A very special thanks to our great God and Father, to those who lifted this evening up in prayer, and those many, many volunteers who contributed in various ways.
Another gorgeous day for our picnic and baptism service!
The 2014 Men's Retreat at Black Rock Retreat Center was another great one. A ton of guys showed up for a weekend of sports, teaching, worship, and fellowship.
